Expand global citizenship and create tangible impact
Join us for this 10 day tour of Cambodian culture, compassion, and connection
Differentiate and connect on deeper levels with your people and your customers
We believe the future of business is purpose-led and we're looking for businesses wanting to trailblaze a new way...
If you're a business that wants to create real impact over the next 12 months, by engaging your customers and/or employees in a truly unique experience, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll build exponential value in your brand and culture, and deepen the purpose and meaning in your business, while connecting with people on whole new levels.
All while making a significant difference to hundreds of underprivileged children!

A more meaningful way to engage
In 2026, we'll take a volunteer team out to our education and community initiatives on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. You, your teams and your families are invited...
You could be helping us design and install a playground at the local primary school, or a community garden on the roof terrace of our new Community Centre.
We'll spend 2025 designing, planning and fundraising, then visit Cambodia in January 2026 for a hands-on volunteering experience, where you'll come face-to-face with those you're directly impacting.
A unique hands-on opportunity to make a real difference

Explore
We'll provide a full orientation, book all accommodation and ground transportation for the 10 day tour, and include a wide range of fun and engaging activities in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (including the Angkor temples). There will be plenty of downtime for you to relax or explore independently too. Our itinerary largely consumes the mornings, leaving the afternoons for your leisure.

Empower
During planning stages, you'll meet and share ideas with our onsite teams with local experience and expertise. Working with local communities, you'll come face-to-face with the people who's lives you're changing for the better. You'll also visit some wonderful social enterprises with whom you may be able to form partnerships or mentor over the longer term.

Enrich
But, what's the point if you don't share the stories? Sharing helps spread the word and raise awareness of the injustices communities like these face (often perpetuated by traditional business models). We'll help you communicate your impact in a way that feels kind and aligned, not disingenuous. We'll provide marketing consultancy and footage for you to leverage this experience across your internal and external networks.
For adventurous spirits who want to learn, explore, have fun and make a difference
Because business is personal for us, this is an inclusive experience. Recognise your teams. Reward your loyal customers. Bring along your families.
In 2025, I took my family to meet our projects (15 years in the making). Our kids loved getting involved and came home with a new-found appreciation for their own privilege.
Sharing this with them and all the learnings I take from working with incredible purpose-led businesses, is my legacy. It helps to create a better world for them, while teaching them compassion, integrity and the importance of helping others.
The even better news is that commercially, giving back stacks up too! It connects you more deeply to your customers, your people and your communities, enhancing loyalty, resilience, turnover and staff retention.

Is it for you?
We're looking for any purpose-led businesses that are willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
Our projects in 2025-26 include designing and installing a playground at the local primary school and a garden on the roof terrace of our new Community Centre. These projects will suit (but are not limited to) anyone will skills in design, construction, engineering, horticulture, agriculture and irrigation.
You don't need to have any prior experience, as we will have qualified teams on site. But you will need to be able to support financially, help us make planning decisions in 2025 and be able to travel mid-January 2026.
Tour Dates: 12-21 January 2026

I volunteered with the Dara Children's Trust as part of a team at eNett and was blown away by Marijke's passion, tireless hard work and dedication. She is incredibly driven and fearless and runs the charity in a highly organised, ethical and responsible fashion. I look forward to contributing to the Trust and Marijke's work going forward.

Who is Dara Children's Trust and why should I care?
Dara Children's Trust is Marijke's first passion, following a fateful volunteering trip in 2009. After falling in love with a village called Andong, on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Marijke founded the children's charity and has been working to improve the lives of children in the community ever since.
Since 2009, Dara Children's Trust and its partners have:
- Helped hundreds of children access public and private school education, including providing supplemental early literacy classes for kindergarden aged children, up to grade 3.
- Provided immediate care for children in a corrupt and abusive orphanage and eventually reintegrated them safely with extended family members.
- Successfully lobbied the government to build 10 new classrooms at the local primary school.
- Helped hundreds of families access emergency care, micro-financing, social working, parenting groups and youth groups.
- Purchased land on behalf of the village and built a Community Centre for all to enjoy, and for future sustainability.
Marijke now combines her charitable passions with her business. The Marketing Collective aims to help other businesses also align with causes and charities that matter to them too.
